On the left is my most recently completed painting. I got the idea for it 3 years ago when I visited Venice for Carnivale, and it took me a long time to get around to it. It felt really good to get done with it. To see it bigger, click here. To see the original, go to Fort Totten this summer.
Carnivale, Venezia #1, watercolor on board.
I am currently teaching watercolor painting classes at the Bayside Historical Society at Fort Totten, in Bayside, Queens. Weather permitting we have been painting outdoors on the grounds of the fort, which is now a park and home to a number of beautiful 19th century buildings. The class has been enough of a success that we are planning to hold a figure drawing workshop in late January/February, and definitely another watercolor class in the spring when the weather gets better. Contact me if you are interested in more information.
I also started working on a photo-album section to show some of the pictures I have taken during my travels. To see the first series of images, click here.
